Begrunnelse:
Pasienter med tørr aldersrelatert makuladegenerasjon (AMD) som røyker, anbefales røykeslutt. Utvalgte pasienter med tørr AMD kan ha nytte av kosttilskudd i henhold til AREDS-studiene. Det foreligger per i dag ikke nok evidens for å kunne anbefale annen behandling av tørr AMD utenfor kontrollerte kliniske studier.
