is the President of The Norwegian Medical Association. She is a specialist in General surgery and in Orthopaedic surgery and has a PhD in obstetrics and physiology. The Norwegian Medical Association has different offers to help dysfunctional doctors "back on track". This includes contact with doctors especially dedicated to this work and also institutions which can help - including special courses. The association also offers help from its own lawyers in legal matters. As the president of the Norwegian Medical Association Torunn Janbu is engaged in these activities. From 1.1.2008 she is Chairman of the subcommittee for Ethics and professional codes in the Standing Committee of European Doctors - CPME (Comité Permanent des Médecins Européens).
