Application open for the European Diploma in Interventional Neuroradiology (EDiINR) (senior)

The European Board of Neuroradiology EBNR GmbH announces the opening of the application to obtain the European Diploma in Interventional Neuroradiology (EDiINR) (senior).

Criteria to apply for the European Diploma in Interventional Neuroradiology (EDiINR) (senior)

1. Work experience: He/she is presently working as a full-time neuroradiologist / interventional radiologist, neurosurgeon, or neurologist, with at least 50% of his/her time dedicated to interventional neuroradiology and has been working as such for at least 10 years. Alternatively, he/she is presently working as a full time neurointerventionist in a dedicated high-flow center and has been working as such for at least five years.

Please note that only the time period after completion of the training/fellowship is considered as work experience. In addition, he/she should be involved in a full range of neurointerventional activity for this requirement to be fulfilled.

The work experience as stated above must be certified by the Chairman of the department or hospital administration in which the applicant is accredited. (An additional letter indicating the average workload, with case distribution, is preferred.)

2. Scientific activity: He/she has published at least ten publications in peer-reviewed international scientific journals of which at least five publications should be related to neurointervention (as proven by the CV).

3. Teaching activity: One of the requirements listed below must be fulfilled:

i- He/she has at least five years’ experience working in an academic position or in a leadership position as a professor, associate professor, docent, or equivalent (as proven by the CV);

OR

ii- He/she has at least five years’ experience working in a teaching environment (i.e., has served/is serving as a trainer/mentor in fellowship programs at his/her hospital) (as proven by the CV);

OR

iii- He/she is/has been an organizer of at least two national/international teaching courses (as proven by the CV);

OR

iiii- He/she has served as a faculty member in at least five established neurointerventional meetings/courses (as proven by the CV).

4. ESNR Membership: He/she is a full or associate member of the European Society of Neuroradiology - diagnostic and interventional (ESNR).
